TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY is a funny, heart-touching story about "Nina" (played by Juliet Stevenson) who is trying to deal with bereavement and learning to love all over again. In the beginning, she has a very difficult time getting over the sudden death of her lover Jamie. Her memory of their relationship and his beautiful cello-playing haunts her to the point where she wills him back into existence in the form of a ghost. Just as they settle back into an odd sort of relationship, Nina becomes torn between Jamie and the attentions of a living suitor.
