Hi, I'm Clair! I'm a 40-something-year-old webmistress who is happily married-with-adult-children to my 20+year older husband. (I just love older guys, can you tell?) I'm a chocoholic; bookaholic; bibliophile (got books in every room!); film, theatre, music, and tv lover; history buff; pet lover (there are more four-leggers in our house than humans), and artist. Over the years, I've gone from technical theatre to graphic design and, in the mid-1990s, to web design which has also evolved to include web site/application programming/development.
Why create fanlistings? Since 1996, I've been the webmistress for four different fansites (not including this one) that I do "just for fun" as well as working as a full-time web designer/application developer in the IT world. While I don't really have the time to create and maintain any more full-blown fansites dedicated to the people, places, and things I appreciate, I still enjoy the creative outlet of designing sites and meeting like-minded fans through them. After discovering fanlistings, I realized that they make perfect mini-fansites that are much easier to create whenever I get the urge to promote a fav and have some time to work on it. In 2003, I started up ensnaring.com and created my first fanlistings for Severus Snape fanfiction – the origins for the name of this site is his line "bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses" – and book character Jamie Fraser from my-all-time-fav-author Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series.
